Distribution

New Zealand: described from Auckland region, widely distributed (Collyer, 1964; 1982); Australia: NSW, Queensland (Schicha, 1987) .

Notes

Collyer (1982) reported that N. dachanti was very common in New Zealand, and was found throughout the country on a variety of native trees and shrubs, occasionally on ferns and herbs. She noted that N. dachanti is usually associated with native vegetation and is not typically found on introduced plants. Schicha (1980; 1987) collected N. dachanti from Eucalyptus sp., and from unidentified native trees in Australia.
