Tree or shrub 2-8m tall.  ‘Leaves’ alternating up the stems, 5-13cm long, 2-4mm wide, flat, scurfy, with minute hairs, edges smooth, with a straight more or less sharp point.  Flower heads yellow, spherical, in 2-5 headed clusters or racemes, the stalks arising from the bases of the 'leaves'.
