Shrub 1-4m tall.  ‘Leaves’ alternating  up the stems, 1-4cm long, 1-1.5mm diameter, more or less narrow cylindrical, hairless, and with a sharp point.  Flower heads yellow, spherical, in pairs, the stalks arising from the bases of the 'leaves'.  Rare Vic.

Differs from Acacia nyssophylla in that the 'leaves' have 8 strongly raised paler longitudinal veins, and the gland is at the base of the 'leaf'.
