Shrub or tree to 8m tall.  ‘Leaves’ alternating up the stems, 1-12cm long, 1-15mm wide, cylindrical to flat, hairy when young, becoming hairless, edges smooth, with a straight often sharp point.  Flowers yellow, flower heads spherical, the flower stalks arising from the bases of the 'leaves', borne singly, in pairs, or in short racemes.  Vulnerable Vic.
