Notes

Annual or perennial forb 10-40cm tall, often woody at the base.  Basal leaves soon withering, toothed near the tip.  Stem leaves alternating up the stems, 1.5-8cm long, 3-27mm wide, flat, rough to hairy, edges deeply divided to coarsely toothed.  Flower heads behind the 'petals' hemispherical, yellow, with 18-30 ‘petals’, in loose groups of 2-5 at the ends of the stems.  Seeds hairless, with 2 spines.  Rare Vic.
