Notes

Perennial forb to 35cm tall.  Leaves mostly at the base of the plant, a few alternating up the stems, 2.5-24cm long, 3-9mm wide, linear to narrow and flat, hairless, edges smooth or toothed.  Flowers white to mauve, with yellow centres, and 22-42 'petals'. Flowers single, or 2-3 in open groups, at the tops of the stems.  Burrs hairless to hairy, with 4-6 spines.  Rare SA
