Notes

Perennial grass to 1m tall. Leaves with a rough, hairless, or hairy sheath at the base. Ligule a membrane with a fringe of hairs. Leaves 4-20cm long, 2-3mm wide, usually flat, hairless, hairy, or rough, tips abruptly pointed. Spikelets pale green to purplish black, 2-6mm long. Seeds with 2 awns. Flower groups digitate, limp. Vulnerable Vic.
