Notes

Perennial grass 20-70cm tall.  Leaves with a woolly sheath at the base. Ligule a fringe of hairs.  Leaves about 1cm long, 1-3mm wide, rolled or the edges rolled inwards, surface rough or hairless, with a straight hard point.  Spikelets green to purple, 5-30mm long.  Mature seed groups cylindrical to spreading.  Seeds with no bristles.
