Notes

Perennial grass 12-60cm tall.  Leaves with a hairless or sparsely hairy sheath at the base.  Ligule a fringe of hairs.  Leaves 4-13cm long, 1-2mm wide, flat, rolled, the edges rolled inwards, or threadlike; rough on the upper surface, hairless below, with thickened rough sharp edges, tapering to a fine point.  Spikelets pale brown to purple, 10-20mm long.  Mature seed groups cylindrical to spreading.  Seeds with 0 bristles.  Vulnerable Vic.
