Notes

Mallee or occasionally a tree to 12m tall.  Bark rough below, smooth above.  New bark orange.  No oil glands in the branchlet pith.  Leaves aromatic when crushed, alternating up the stems, 4.5-14cm long, 5-22mm wide, glossy green, flat, hairless, with straight or curved points.  Flowers white to pale yellow, with 0 petals, in clusters of 5-14 at the bases of the leaves.  Bud cap as long as or much longer than the base.  Nuts that have dropped their seed have slender fragile valves protruding strongly.
