Perennial forb or shrub to 1.5m tall. Leaves alternating up the stems, 0.5-3.5cm long, 0.5-7mm wide, linear to flat, hairless or rough, sometimes with turned down margins, tips blunt, pointed, or with a curved point. Flowers pale blue, mauve, or whitish, with 5 uneven petals, in clusters of 1-4 or more on a common stalk arising from the bases of the leaves.
