Introduced biennial or perennial forb to 40cm tall. Leaves in a basal rosette, 3-17cm long, 5-15mm wide, flat, hairy, toothed to lobed with almost triangular lobes. Flowers yellow, with many ‘petals’. Flower heads broad cylindrical, borne singly on stems arising from the base of the plant. Leontodon taraxacoides ssp. taraxacoides  in NSW.
