Notes

Fern to 20cm tall, prostrate.  Leaves in clusters along the stem, each composed of four leaflets, 0.8-3.5cm long, 8-35mm wide, flat, hairy becoming hairless, edges toothed. The spore cases are in a closely packed row of 6-12 at the very base of the leaf stalk, hidden by hairs.  The spore cases are so entangled in hairs that individual spore cases can only be seen with the aid of a microscope.
