Annual forb to 8cm tall. Leaves alternating up the stems, 0.5-2cm long, less than 1mm wide, linear, more or less stem-clasping, white to grey woolly. Flowers small (less than 3mm across) woolly, florets cream often becoming reddish, with 0 petals. Flower heads cylindrical, borne singly at the ends of the stems. Rare Vic.
