Notes

Annual or perennial forb to 20cm tall. Leaves basal, mostly 3-15cm long, 8-40mm wide, margins toothed or almost entire, with short pale brown hairs at the bases of the leaves. Flowers small (less than 3mm across), tubular, with 4 tiny brown 'petals', in cylindrical spikes on stalks arising from the base of the plant.

Plantago debilis is similar to Plantago varia. However, the leaves of Plantago debilis  are wider and thinner than the leaves of Plantago varia, and the flowers are smaller and more widely spaced.
