Introduced perennial grass to 60cm tall. Leaves with a hairless sheath at the base. Ligule a membrane without a fringe of hairs. Leaves 2-16cm long, 1-5mm wide, linear, flat, or folded together lengthwise, rough. Spikelets 3-7mm long. Mature seed groups cylindrical or spreading. Seeds with 0 bristles.
