Notes

Shrub or perennial forb to 75cm tall.  Leaves succulent, 0.8-1.5cm long, linear, cylindrical to flattened cylindrical, hairless.  Flowers tiny (less than 3mm across), solitary at the bases of the leaves.  Burrs hairless, with 3-4 spines, the fourth much reduced.  Poorly known Vic.
