Notes

Shrub or perennial forb to 50cm tall.  Leaves succulent, linear to narrow flattened cylindrical, 0.6-1cm long, hairy.  Flowers tiny (less than 3mm across), solitary at the bases of the leaves.  Burrs hairy, with 2 spines. 

Differs from Sclerolaena patenticuspis in that the two spines ascend in different vertical planes.
