Notes

Shrub or woody perennial forb to 30cm tall.  Plant becoming leafless.  Leaves usually succulent, 0.2-0.6cm long, linear to narrow cylindrical, sparsely hairy, with a sharp point.  Flowers tiny (less than 3mm across), solitary at the bases of the leaves.  Burrs hairless to slightly hairy, with 6 spines.
