Shrub or perennial forb to 1m tall.  Leafless.  Succulent slender stems.  Flowers tiny (less than 3mm across), succulent, in short spikes at the ends of the stems, to 2cm long.  Endangered community in NSW.  Rare Vic (as Halosarcia lylei).

Definite differentiation between most species of Tecticornia depends on details of the seeds, which needs a microscope to see.
