Perennial forb, twining on other plants, or sprawling along the ground, stems to 1m long. Leaves at the base of the plant, produced annually, withering early, 10-20cm long, narrow cylindrical. Flowering stems produced annually. Flowers with 6 'petals', mauve to violet or purple, solitary along the branches. Family Anthericaceae in NSW, family Liliaceae in SA.
