Introduced annual grass to 1m tall or sprawling. Leaves with a hairy sheath at the base. Ligule a fringe of hairs or a membrane with a fringe of hairs. Leaves linear to flat, 2-25cm long, 3-18mm wide, hairless to hairy, margins wavy. Spikelets pale green or yellowish, 2-6mm long. Seeds with 0 bristles. Mature seed groups cylindrical.
