Notes

Annual forb to 30cm tall.  Leaves alternating up the stems, 0.7-3.5cm long, 1-10mm wide, flat to linear, rough to hairy, often sticky, edges entire or lobed.  Flowers white to pinky mauve or purple, with many ‘petals’. Flower heads below the 'petals' borne singly or in small groups at the tops of the stems.

The varieties Vittadinia cervicularis var. cervicularis and Vittadinia cervicularis var. subcervicularis differ in details of the seeds, which needs a microscope to see.
