Annual forb to 60cm tall.  Leaves alternating up the stems, slightly stem clasping.  Leaves 2-11cm long, 2-5mm wide, linear to flat, sparsely hairy, somewhat sticky, the edges curved downwards.  Flowers yellow to orange-red, with many ‘petals’. Flower heads oval to bell-shaped, in groups of 2-9 at the ends of the stems.
