Notes

Annual forb, prostrate, or scrambling or leaning on other shrubs, to 40cm tall. Leaves opposite each other, with two succulent leaflets (with an obvious junction between the basal section of the leaf and the leaflets), 1-2cm long, 0.7-3mm wide, flat, hairless, tips pointed. Flowers yellow, with 4 petals, borne singly at the bases of the leaves. Mature fruiting body 4-angled. Rare Vic.

Differs from Zygophyllum eremaeum in that there is an obvious junction between the basal section of the leaf and the leaflets, and that the mature fruiting body is 4-angled, with a round base and the far end squared off.
