Identification

Gronotoma has been included in a key to world genera by Weld (1952), and keys to Hawaiian genera by Beardsley (1988; 1989). Quinlan (1986) included it in a key to Afrotropical genera and provided a revision of Afrotropical species; although he treated it under the name Eucoilidea. There is a need for a comprehensive, modern treatment of eucoiline genera.
