Forewing with 3 distinct lines of setae radiating from stigmal vein: two towards apex of wing, and one towards base of wing.
Dorsum of thorax metallic green.

Distribution

This species is known from the Palaearctic Region. It is newly recorded in Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam) as part of this study.


Hosts

In addition to dipterous leafminers, this species is known as a parasitoid of a variety of leafminers in the families Tenthredinidae (Hymenoptera), and Gracillariidae, Lyonetiidae, and Nepticulidae (Lepidoptera) (Noyes, 2002, 2003).

Biology

This species seems to attack earlier, smaller host stages. Like other Entedoninae, it is an endoparasitoid.


Comments

A. delucchii is a common parasitoid of Liriomyza in Southeast Asia, and in some cases may build up to numbers where it has an impact on leafminer population levels.
