Ventral Suckers
Suckers that help mites attach to arthropods for phoretic dispersal are known in two groups: the heteromorphic deutonymphal stage or hypopus of the Astigmatina often have a complex sucker plate posterior to legs IV and a highly specialized group of Monogynaspida (Heterozerconina) that are associated primarily with millipedes and centipedes have a pair of large suckers.
Additionally, male Astigmatina and many Heterostigmatina have suckers used to grasp the female (or subadult female) during mate guarding and mating.
