Biology
Sarcophaga
kappa has been recorded breeding in rotten meat
and carrion (Johnston and Tiegs, 1921; Xue et al.,
2011), and was collected at decayed carrion-baits by
KAM.
Taxonomy
DNA barcode sequences of S. kappa have been
deposited in both GenBank and BOLD.
