Unlike the other species of the genus this species has a conical shape and is sculptured with axial ribblets.

Type locality: In groundwater sampled from Southern Cross Well, Newhaven Station, Ngalia Basin, Northern Territory.
Members of this genus live in ground water and very little is known of their biology. They presumably feed on bacterial films.
Known only from the type locality.
