Like N. porrecta this species has a pyriform aperture but differs in not having the last half whorl extended into a straight tube and the peristome is not flared.

Type locality: In groundwater sampled from Rabbit Hole Bore, Central Mount Wedge East Station, Ngalia Basin, Northern Territory.
Members of this genus live in ground water and very little is known of their biology. They presumably feed on bacterial films.
Known only from the type locality.
