Habit Short to medium in height, well spreading, producing 5-10 ‘ohā.
Corm Flesh chalky white with yellowish fibers; cortex whitish.
Petiole Light green, greenish at edge, white at base.
Leaf blade Sagittate, medium green; margins slightly undulate; piko yellowish; lobes acute with wide sinus.
Origin Hawaiian variety.
Cultivation Matures in 9-12 months; rots readily under slightly adverse conditions.
Uses Gray poi; lū‘au is relatively nonacrid.
Comments Variety possibly named after Kalalau, a tableland on Mt. Wai‘ale‘ale, Kaua‘i.
