Shrub to 3m tall. 'Leaves' alternating up the branches, 2-7cm long, 4-10mm wide, flat, hairless, slightly hairy when young, tips blunt or notched, or with a curved point. Flower heads yellow, globular, single, the stalks arising from the bases of the 'leaves'.
