Introduced shrub or tree to 25m tall, deciduous, suckering to form dense thickets. The glands near the bases of the leaflets with an unpleasant smell when crushed. Leaves alternating up the stems, overall 20-100cm long, composed of 9-41 leaflets each 4-15cm long, 15-60mm wide, flat, hairy becoming hairless, sometimes entire, but usually with 1-2 teeth or lobes near the base, a gland at the tip of each lobe, and with pointed tips. Flowers white, male, female, or bisexual, with 5 petals, in panicles at the tops of the branches. Noxious weed Vic.
