Notes
Perennial grass 20-60cm tall. Leaves with a hairy sheath at the base. Ligule a fringe of hairs. Leaves 8-30cm long, 2-3mm wide, rolled, hairless to rough, with a stiff point. Spikelets brown, 6-10mm long. Mature seed groups cylindrical. Seeds with 5 short awns.
