Mistletoe, exclusively parasitic on Casuarinas eg Casuarina cristata, Casuarina pauper. Leaves opposite each other or in clusters. Leaves 6-12cm long, 1-2.5mm wide, narrow cylindrical, hairy, the older leaves sometimes hairless, with blunt tips. Flowers whitish outside, red inside, with 4 or 5 petals, in umbels usually composed of 3 groups of 3 flowers on stalks arising from the bases of the leavess. Ripe fruit translucent or grey to whitish, and hairy at least when immature. Amyema linophyllum ssp. orientale in NSW. Vulnerable Vic.
