Notes

Perennial grass 30-90cm tall. Leaves with a hairless sheath at the base. Ligule a fringe of hairs. Leaves 10-25cm long, 1-2mm wide, flat, folded together lengthwise, rolled, or the edges rolled inwards, bristly on the upper surface, more or less hairless on the lower surface, with a long point. Spikelets yellowish or purplish brown, 5-9mm long. Seeds with three long awns.  Mature seed groups cylindrical. Endangered Vic.  Threatened list Vic.
