Notes
Short lived perennial forb or shrub to 1m tall. Leaves alternating up the stems, 1-4cm long, scaly to scurfy, sometimes hairy, toothed. Male and female flowers on the same plant. Flowers small (less than 3mm across), in clusters of male flowers or a mixture of male and female flowers, or forming interruped spikes, at the bases of the leaves.
