Annual forb to 50cm tall. Leaves clustered at the base of the plant and alternating up the stems, to 12cm long, hairy, with linear lobes, the leaves reducing to flat to linear up the stem, with entire edges or a few small teeth. Flowers pink, white or mauve, with 4 petals, in racemes which elongate as the fruting bodies mature, at the ends of the stems.
