Tree to 20m tall. Leaves alternating up the stems, 5-15cm long, hairless, 3-lobed. Flowers creamy white speckled dark red inside, bell-shaped, with 5 lobes, in dense clusters on long stalks which arise from the bases of the leaves. The hairs surrounding the seeds irritate the skin. Native to NSW well east of the area covered by this key. Family Sterculiaceae in SA.
