Introduced annual forb to 40cm tall. Leaves alternating up the stems, stem-clasping, 2.5-10cm long, to 20mm wide, flat, hairy to rough, margins mostly wavy and toothed, tips more or less pointed. Flower heads with many yellow ‘petals’ and yellow centres. Flowers single at the ends of the stems.
