Annual forb, prostrate to erect, occurring in areas subject to inundation. Leaves opposite each other, 0.08-0.5cm long, 0.4-1.5mm wide, linear to flat, with blunt tips. Male and female flowers on the same plant. Flowers small (less than 3mm across), with 0 petals, a male and a female flower in a pair at the bases of the leaves, often a pair of flowers at the base of each leaf of a pair of leaves. Family Callitrichaceae in NSW and SA. Rare SA.
