Tree to 20m tall. Leaves aromatic when crushed, 0.2-0.4cm long, scale-like, in whorls, hairless. Male and female cones on the same plant.
Differs from Callitris glaucophylla in that the cone scales are thick and united, forming a thick cone-base; and from Callitris verrucosa in that it is a tree to 20m tall, and the cones are smooth or sparsely warty.
