Annual forb to 50cm tall. Highly aromatic when crushed. Leaves alternating up the stems, sometimes the lowermost opposite each other, lower leaves with a sheathing base. Leaves 0.5-6.3cm long, 2-5mm wide, linear to flat, hairy, with a straight point. Flower heads yellow or white, round to oval, with 0 petals. Flowers single at the ends of the stems. Rare SA.
