Introduced annual forb to 2.5m tall. Leaves alternating up the stems, 3-10cm long, flat, both surfaces with mealy scales. Leaf edges entire, toothed, or incised. Flowers tiny (less than 3mm across), green or greyish, in small clusters forming leafy or leafless panicles.
