Introduced annual or perennial forb, mat-forming, to 60cm tall. Succulent stems. Leaves somewhat fleshy, alternating along the stems, with a sheathing or stem-clasping base. Leaves 1-8cm long, linear to flat, hairless, edges entire or toothed or lobed. Upper leaves smaller, entire. Flower heads yellow, with 0 petals, hemispherical, at the ends of the stems, on stalks 2-8cm long.
