Notes
Annual grass to 2m tall. Leaves with a hairless sheath at the base. Ligule absent. Leaves 10-40cm long, 6-15mm wide, flat, hairless, margins rough, tips pointed. Spikelets green to purple, 3-5mm long. Seeds with 0 or sometimes with 1 awn. Mature seed groups cylindrical.
