Notes
Perennial rush to 50cm tall. Leaves reduced to sheaths at the base of the flower stems. Flower stem cylindrical, ribbed. Spikelet 10-20mm long, 2mm wide, pale to reddish brown to dark brown, narrow cylindrical, at the top of the flowering stem, comprised of many tightly packed florets. Grows in shallow water and in mud. Poorly known Vic.
