Notes

Perennial grass to 50cm tall.  Leaves with a hairy sheath at the base.  Ligule a fringe of hairs.  Leaves 7-15cm long, 1-3mm wide, at first flat, then with the edges rolled inwards, hairy, with a straight point.  Spikelets 3-7mm long. Seeds with 9 awns.  Mature seed groups cylindrical to oval.
