Notes

Perennial grass 30-70cm tall.  Leaves with a hairy sheath at the base.  Ligule a fringe of hairs. Leaves 10-18cm long, 1-4mm wide, edges rolled inwards, surface hairless or hairy, with a pointed tip.  Spikelets green, 4-7mm long.  Seeds with 9 awns. Mature seed groups cylindrical to spreading.
